In our business, we work with creating powerful messages for walls every day. These messages might be branding messages for the office, sometimes they are personal messages for people’s homes. We translate them via vinyl lettering, in wall graphics and in window films.
And to be honest, we (that is the people at Cool Art Design) sometimes become blind to the message.
You know when you do something every day and suddenly everything becomes the same. Same thing, different day? And then something jolts you into thinking, and then action, and suddenly you are reinvigorated and see with fresh eyes.
Well yesterday a customer put it so perfectly into words for us. And it made sense!
A customer rang up and wanted to create a set of 20 words which are motivational words, into a word mix using cut vinyl lettering in different colours and fonts.These would be applied as wall stickers to the wall for their staff to see.
For us, we do this every day, so the process was, get the pen out, ok, hit us, give us the list and we start writing.
But then he said…. “The reason we want to do this is because these are the words that our staff forget to use every day”.
One line, very simple, and I thought, yes, this is why we do what we do.
Affirmation is a very simple but powerful tool that can be used daily for attitude changes. And the best thing: it’s for free!
By putting these messages in visual placements in offices and homes, the message or affirmation can be repeated anywhere and at anytime. Life is busy, and we do forget.
We forgot. Thank you to our customer for reminding us why we make wall quotes and wall words day in and day out…
Often the words we forget to use the most
